Universal Barbecue Sauce for Game – Spoon!

Ingredients

• 25 ml vegetable oil
• a pinch of freshly ground black pepper
• 70 g good-quality ketchup or tomato sauce (I used classic Heinz)
• 50 ml maple syrup (can be substituted with honey)
• 2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
• 1/2 tsp. chili powder
• 2-3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
• 50-75 ml port wine, whiskey, or cognac
