Chewy Molasses Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

• 2 1/4 cups (280 g) all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon ground ginger
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 3/4 cup (150 g) unsalted butter, softened
• 1 cup (200 g) light brown sugar, packed
• 1/2 cup (120 ml) molasses
• 1 large egg
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1/4 cup (50 g) granulated sugar (for rolling the cookies)
