- 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon Dried oregano crumbled
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil finely cut (or sub 1 tsp dried)
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- Freshly ground pepper to taste
