Ingredients

• ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature,
• plus more for greasing the pan
• 1 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
• ½ teaspoon baking soda
• ¼ teaspoon salt
• ½ cup granulated sugar
• ½ cup (packed) dark brown sugar
• 1 large egg
• ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
• ¼ teaspoon almond extract
• ¾ cup old-fashioned rolled oats
• 1½ cups mini semisweet chocolate chips
• 1 cup dried cherries
• ½ cup sliced almonds, toasted (see Hint, this page)
