Ingredients

• 1 1/2 lbs (680g) medium ground beef (use 75-80% lean for best results)
• 1/4 tsp (2 ml) salt
• 1/4 tsp (2 ml) pepper
• 3/4 cup (180 ml) cheddar, room temperature
• 4 hamburger buns
• 1/2 cup (120 ml) mayonnaise
• 3 tbsp (45 ml) ketchup
• 2 tbsp (30 ml) diced pickles
• 1 tbsp (15 ml) yellow mustard
• 1/2 tbsp (8 ml) white sugar
• shredded iceberg lettuce
• sliced tomatoes
• sliced red onions
