Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sweetened coconut flakes
- 1 1/2 cups coconut milk
- 2 bananas, 1 whole and 1 sliced into 1/4-inch-thick pieces
- 1 20-oz. can of crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 1/2 cups water
- A pinch of sea salt
- 4 tbsps. unsalted butter
- 1 cup stone ground grits (not quick cook; polenta or yellow grits are OK substitutes)
- 1 cup white sugar or agave nectar
