• 12 tablespoons unsalted butter (1 ½ sticks), softened
• 1 1/2 cups packed dark brown sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• For Filling:
• 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature
• 3 cups confectioner's sugar
• 1/4 cup up to milk
• 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
