• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted, slightly cooled

• 1 tablespoon water
• 2 tablespoons espresso or strong coffee, lukewarm
• 2 1/2 cups milk, lukewarm
• maraschino cherries, optional, to taste, for garnish
