Lao Beef Jerky Recipe

Ingredients

• 1 pound lean beef, thinly sliced against the grain
• 2 tablespoons fish sauce
• 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon white pepper
• 4 cloves garlic, minced
• 2 medium shallots, thinly sliced
• 2 tablespoons palm sugar or brown sugar
• 1 to 2 teaspoons dried chili flakes*
• 1 stalk lemongrass, finely chopped
• 1 tablespoon lime juice
• 1 tablespoon soy sauce
