Ingredients
- 1/2 pint water
- 4 ounces white sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 lb plain flour
- 1 tablespoon mixed spice
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 lb butter or 1/2 lb margarine
- 1/2 lb sultana
- 1/2 lb raisins (or if you prefer, 1 lb. desired filling)
- 1 tablespoon treacle
