• 2/3 cup shortening
• 1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
• 1 Tbsp water
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 2 eggs
• 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 2 cups HERSHEY'S SPECIAL DARK Mildly Sweet Chocolate Chips or HERSHEY'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips (12 oz pkg.)
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/4 tsp baking soda
• 1/3 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa or HERSHEY'S SPECIAL DARK Cocoa
• 1/4 cup walnuts chopped (optional)
