Ingredients

• 2 sticks unsalted butter, divided (1 stick softened)
• 2 ½ cups old-fashioned oats, divided
• 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
• ½ tsp baking soda
• ¾ tsp kosher salt
• 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
• ¾ cup granulated sugar
• 2 large Gelson’s eggs
• 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
• 1 ½ cups toasted pecan halves, chopped
• 10 oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped
• Flake salt, to taste
