My boy always requests this Bacon Mac & Cheese when he’s home - no boxed mac & cheese allowed in our house! Homemade mac is much easier to throw together than you think…and you can never go wrong...
Ingredients
- 1 box macaroni or noodle of your choosing (I usd ziti), cooked according to the package instructions
- 4 strips bacon, diced
- Drizzle of olive oil
- ½ cup diced yellow onion
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup flour
- 2 cups almond milk or half & half
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
