Almond Baklava Recipe
This is my delicious recipe for baklava. I have been asked by several of my Turkish friends to share the recipe and I have been told that cinnamon adds a nice touch.

Ingredients
- 2 cups white sugar
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup honey
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1/4 lemon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 pounds chopped almonds
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter, melted
- 1 (16 ounce) package frozen phyllo pastry, thawed
