• 2 lbs beef chuck (cut into 1-inch cubes)
• 1 large onion (chopped)
• 3 cloves garlic (minced)
• 2 carrots (sliced)
• 2 stalks celery (chopped)
• 1 bottle beer (12 oz)
• 2 cups beef broth
• 2 tbsp tomato paste
• 2 tbsp flour
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 1 tsp thyme
• 1 bay leaf
