  • 5 strips of bacon, plus 1 tablespoon reserved bacon drippings
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
