Ingredients

• 60 ml (1/4 cup) extra virgin olive oil
• 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
• 60 ml (1/4 cup) onion, finely chopped
• 60 ml (1/4 cup) celery, finely chopped
• 60 ml (1/4 cup) carrots, finely chopped
• 1 can 540 ml (19 fl oz) lentils, rinsed and drained
• 1 l (4 cups) chicken broth
• 2 ml (1/2 teaspoon) fresh ground cumin
• Sea salt
• Fresh ground black pepper
