Smoked Bacon Cheeseburger Meatloaf

Ingredients

• 8 slices of bacon
• 1½ pounds of lean ground beef or ground chuck
• ½ minced sweet onion
• 5 finely chopped white mushrooms
• 1 egg
• 1 cup of freshly grated sharp cheddar cheese
• ¼ cup of half and half
• ½ cup of cracker crumbs (or crushed corn flakes or bread crumbs)
• ½ teaspoon of garlic salt
• dried parsley (to taste)
• freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
