Ingredients

• 1 1/2 cups water (360 cc)
• 3 3/4 teaspoons salt
• 3 3/4 teaspoons granulated sugar
• 2 or 3 sprigs parsley, chopped
• 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
• 1 or 2 bay leaves
• 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
• 1/2 teaspoon oregano
• 1/2 teaspoon thyme
• 1 teaspoon orange or lemon rind
