Beef Stew

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 lbs of beef stew meat
• 1 medium onion chopped
• 2 sticks of celery chopped
• 1 cup chopped carrots
• 2 tbs butter
• 2 tbs vegetable oil
• 1 tbs chopped garlic
• 2 cups beef broth (preferably swansons)
• 1 cup dry red wine (I used a good pinot noir)
• 1/4 cup flour
• 1 tbs red wine vinegar
• 1 tbs balsamic vinegar
• 1 tbs tomato paste
• 1-2 potatoes peeled and cut into cubes
