• 1/4 (finely chopped) onion
• 1/3 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
• 3 (roughly chopped) garlic cloves
• 1 (roughly chopped) shallot
• 1 lb pasta of choice
• 1-2 tsp salt
• 1/4 tsp black pepper
• 1 tsp Italian seasoning
• 2 tbsp butter
• to taste parsley
• as needed pasta water
