Bleeding Cupcakes - Reese® Specialty Foods

Ingredients

• ½ C salted butter (1 stick), at room temperature
• 1 ¾ C granulated sugar
• 2 lg eggs, at room temperature
• 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
• 2 C all purpose flour
• ½ C black cocoa
• ½ tsp baking soda
• ½ tsp salt
• 1 tsp black food coloring
• 1 ¼ C buttermilk, at room temperature
• 1 ½ C unsalted butter, at room temperature
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 6 C powdered sugar
• 4-6 tbsp heavy cream, at room temperature
• 1 jar
• Reese Maraschino Cherries
• 1 bottle of blood red sugar glaze (found at any grocery store around Halloween)
• 1 C isomalt crystals (found at local cake supply store or on amazon)
• ¼ C water
