• 3/4 cup butter, softened
• 3/4 cup maple sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
• 1 cup whole-wheat flour
• 2 tbsp milk
• 1 1/2 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
• 3 cups frozen peaches, in quarters
• 1/2 cup maple syrup (preferably amber syrup, for its rich flavour)
• Fine maple sugar
