• For the frosting and filling:
• 4 large egg whites, at room temperature
• 130g sugar
• 115g golden syrup or honey
• 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
• 2 sticks plus 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into 1/2-inch pieces and slightly softened
• 215g golden M&M's
• 1 small container edible gold luster dust (available at craft stores or online)
