- 1 large egg
- 1 1/2 sticks (12 tablespoons) unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
- 8 ounces (about 1 2/3 cups) confectioners' sugar
- 1/4 cup meringue powder
- 2 tablespoons green food coloring
- 20 drops red food coloring
- 48 mini nonpareil-covered chocolate candies
- White nonpareils, for sprinkling
