- 200g golden syrup
- 150g treacle
- 125g dark brown sugar
- 2 tsp fresh ginger
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1 orange (zest and juice)
- 50ml amaretto
- 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 200ml milk
- 2 eggs
- 300g plain flour
- Icing sugar to dust
