How to Make Beef and Potato Pie

Ingredients

• 3 tablespoons olive oil
• 4 garlic cloves, crushed with a garlic press with peeler
• 1 onion, finely chopped
• 2 cups of mixed vegetables (carrots, corn, peas)
• Half a bell pepper, finely chopped
• 1 celery stalk, finely chopped
• 1.5 lb ground beef
• 3 tablespoons flour
• 1/4 cup tomato puree
• 2 cups beef broth
• 1/2 cup red wine
• 1 teaspoon cumin
• 1 teaspoon dried thyme
• 2 dried bay leaves
• 2 lb potatoes, peeled and diced
• 2/3 cup milk
• 2 tablespoons butter
• 1/4 cup grated mozzarella cheese
• 4 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
• Salt and pepper to taste
