• 4 egg whites, room temperature
• 1/8 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
• 1 cup caster sugar (finely granulated sugar)
• 1-1/2 teaspoons almond extract
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 tablespoons ground almonds, for topping
