Ingredients

• 1 qt. Oysters and their liquor
• 1 Stick of butter
• 1 medium Onion, chopped
• 3 Scallions with their green leaves, finely sliced
• ½ C. finely chopped Celery
• ¼ C. chopped fresh Parsley
• ½ Green Pepper, chopped
• 2 cloves Garlic, minced
• 6 chicken livers & 6 gizzards (or the giblets of the turkey)
• 1 Bay leaf
• ¼ tsp. Thyme
• ¼ tsp. Mace
• ¼ tsp. Cayenne
• 1 8 oz loaf stale French Bread
• Salt & freshly ground Black Pepper
