• 1 cup milk
• 1-1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
• 1/3 cup butter OR margarine softened
• 1/3 cup shortening
• 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 1-1/4 cups sugar
• 1/3 cup corn starch
• 1-1/4 teaspoons baking soda
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 3 eggs at room temperature
• 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate melted
• 1 quart vanilla OR favorite flavor ice cream slightly softened
• 2/3 cup (4 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips
• 1-1/2 tablespoons butter
• 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
• 1/2 cup heavy cream
• 3 tablespoons Karo ® Light Corn Syrup
