Apple Pecan Chewies - Alabama Farmers Federation

Ingredients

• 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 2 eggs, well beaten
• 2 cups self-rising flour
• 1 large firm apple, peeled, cored and finely diced (I like Fuji, Granny Smith, Jazz or Honeycrisp)
• 1 cup chopped pecans
