• 5 ounces unsweetened chocolate, (best quality such as Ghirardelli, chopped)
• 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cut into ½-in (13-mm) pieces
• 1 teaspoon instant coffee or espresso powder ((optional))
• 4 large eggs
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1 cup (packed) dark brown sugar
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 1 cup confectioners' sugar
