Sweet Chutney | Dates and Tamarind Chutney | Chaat - Swayampaaka - ಸ್ವಯಂ ಪಾಕ
The sweet chutney is not just chutney for chaats, it is multipurpose. I use this as a salad dressing over winter greens, cucumber and carrot salad.
Ingredients
- small lemon sized tamarind
- 10 to 15 Pitted dates
- 2 cup water
- ½ tsp cumin seeds
- ½ tsp dry red chilli powder or rasam Powder
- ½ tsp fennel seeds
- 1 tsp salt
- 6 TBSP jaggery
