Ingredients

• 2 2/3 cups all purpose flour, spooned and leveled
• 1 tsp. salt
• 1 tsp. baking soda
• 1/2 tsp. baking powder
• 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
• 12 Tbsp. salted butter, cold and cut into cubes
• 1 1/4 cups dark brown sugar, packed
• 1 large egg yolk
• 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
• 2 tsp. vanilla extract (or 1 tsp. maple extract and 1 tsp. vanilla for more maple flavor)
• 3 Tbsp. sugar
• 2 Tbsp. salted butter
• 1/4 cup + 1 Tbsp. pure maple syrup
• 3/4 cup powdered sugar
• 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
• pinch of salt
