Chocolate Cookie Mice

Ingredients

• 3/4 c Granulated sugar
• 2 1/4 c All-purpose flour or Unbleached
• 1/2 ts Baking Powder
• 1 Egg
• 72 Miniature chocolate chips
• 36 strips Red or black licorice Cut into 2-inch pieces
• 1 ts Vanilla extract
• 1/2 c Butter or margarine, Softened
• 1/4 c Unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1/2 c Shortening
