Ren's krupnik recipe provides just the right balance of spice, sweetness and punchy alcohol that you want from this Polish honey vodka.
Ingredients
- 250ml of runny honey, preferably raw, wild or organic
- 250ml of water, lukewarm
- 1/2 nutmeg
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 allspice berries
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1 vanilla pod
- orange peel, of half an orange, dried out
- 70ml of vodka, good quailty, 40%
- unsalted butter, to serve
