- 1 cup sugar, plus a bit extra to sprinkle on top
- 2 eggs, room temperature
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup milk, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 apples, any kind
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
