This is an extremely rich and yummy holiday type cake if you love pecans. I used to make this for our family holidays and everybody went nuts over it.

- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 lb brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 6 egg whites
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 cups pecans
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup melted margarine
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
