Amish Applesauce Cake

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup butter ((1 stick), softened)
• 1 cup white sugar
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1 large egg
• 1 large egg yolk
• 2 cups applesauce
• 1/2 cup milk
• 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
• 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
• 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
• 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
• 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
• 1 cup raisins ((optional))
