Ingredients

• ½ cup (125g) unsalted butter, at room temperature
• ½ cup packed light brown sugar
• ½ cup granulated sugar
• 1 large egg, at room temperature
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
• 1 tablespoon cornstarch (maizena (corn flour))
• ½ teaspoon baking soda
• ½ teaspoon salt
• 1 ½ cups chocolate chips
• 1 cup lightly toasted, coarsely chopped pecans
