Tupelo Honey Margarita - Cocktail Recipe

Ingredients

• Simple Syrup (recipe follows)
• Chili Salt (recipe follows)
• 2.5 ounces silver tequila (we prefer El Jimador Blanco)
• 1.5 ounces Tupelo Honey liqueur (recipe follows)
• 6 ounces fresh Sweet & Sour mix (recipe follows)
• Lime wedges, for garnish.
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup water
• 1 cup kosher salt
• 2 tablespoons chili powder
• 1 teaspoon cayenne powder
• 1/2 large navel orange
• 1/2 cup hot water
• 1/2 cup Tupelo honey
• 1/2 cup vodka (we prefer Finlandia)
• 1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
• 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
• 1 cup Mint Simple Syrup
• 2 tablespoons egg whites
• 1 cup sugar
• 8 (6-inch) stalks fresh mint
