Ingredients

  • Keep them Cool: Store your pecans in the refrigerator or freezer. They appreciate cooler areas, which helps preserve their heart-healthy fats and prevents them from going rancid.
  • Airtight conditions: Use airtight containers or resealable bag to limit exposure to air. This helps maintain their delightful shape and taste.
  • Refrigeration: Pecan can stay fresh in the fridge for about 6 month or longer.
  • 2 cups pecans
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons orange zest
  • Preheat oven to 350 °F.
  • In a medium bowl, stir together honey, orange zest.
  • Add 2 cups pecans, stir to combine.
  • Spread the seasoned nuts in a single layer on a parchment-line 15x10x1 inch baking pan.
  • Bake until fragrant, or the pecans are a couple of shades darker, about 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, to ensure even roasting.
  • Cool completely on a wire rack. And store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3 days or in refrigerator up to 1 week.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for even toasting and easy cleanup.
  • Be sure to check them frequently to prevent burning.
