Double Chocolate Cherry Muffin - Bake with Amy

Ingredients

• 200 g self-raising flour
• 25 g cocoa powder (1/4cup)
• 150 g caster sugar
• 50 ml neutral vegetable oil
• 140 ml buttermilk, at room temperature
• 1 egg, at room temperature
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 tbsp kirsch (cherry liqueur, optional)
• 170 g milk chocolate chips (1cup)
• 225 g cherries, pitted and chopped (1 1/2cups) (2/3 for batter and 1/3 for topping)
• icing sugar to dust muffins (optional)
