Steak with Cream Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

• 4 fillet steaks (each weighing about 6 oz)
• 2 garlic cloves (skinned and crushed or finely chopped (optional))
• salt
• freshly ground pepper
• 2 oz English butter
• 4 oz button mushrooms (wiped and very thinly sliced)
• 1 oz onion (very finely chopped)
• 1 tbsp lemon juice
• 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
• 2 tbsp brandy
• 5 floz fresh single cream
• 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley
• fresh parsley to Garnish
