Berry crumble bar – fun recipes for fussy eaters and picky eaters | The Confident Eater
Berry crumble bar OMG this is good. I loved it but also my harshest food critics were shovelling it into their mouths! Super simple and a great way to add fruit
Ingredients
- 3/4 cups of oats – (I used wholegrain oats but blitzed them in the spice grinder so they were smaller. I tried them whole first and it didn’t give a good result. Rolled oats would work well)
- ½ cup + 1/8 cup flour – I used wholemeal, and I don’t think it’s noticeable which is used
- 1 dst spoon sugar – I always use minimal sugar so add to taste. Mine was coconut sugar.
- Pinch of salt
- 62.5 gm butter – melted
- 1 ¼ cups frozen berries – I used mixed berries. You could add your child’s favourite. I think, for example, pureed apple would be good. If fruit is a step too far jam would also work.
- ½ tbs cornflour – optional
- ½ tbs lemon juice – optional
