Ingredients

• 3 ¼ cups (390 g) flour
• 1 tsp salt
• ¾ tbsp ground ginger
• 2 tsp ground cinnamon
• ½ tsp allspice
• ¼ tsp ground gloves
• ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
• 2/3 cup (150 g) butter
• ¾ cup (150 g) brown sugar
• 2/3 cup (200 g) molasses
• 1 egg
• 2 vanilla beans (or 2 tsp vanilla extract)
