Ingredients

• 2 pears peeled and cored
• 2 apples peeled and cored
• 2 tablespoons lemon juice
• 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
• 1 pinch of salt
• 6 whole cloves
• 2 whole star anise
• 1 stick of cinnamon, about 5cm long
• 2 tablespoons water
