Poached pear with rhubarb sauce

Ingredients

• 4 medium-sized pears (best if slightly ripened pears are used)
• 4 ounces light cream cheese
• 1 Tablespoon honey
• 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
• 2 Tablespoons vanilla-flavored yogurt (optional)
• 5 medium stalks of rhubarb, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
• 1-1/2 cups water
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 teaspoon nutmeg (preferably fresh ground)
• A few fresh or frozen raspberries (optional)
