Ingredients

• 2 sticks butter, softened
• 2 cups sugar
• 4 eggs
• 1 1/2 cups buttermilk, divided
• 1 teaspoon soda
• 4 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1 pound golden raisins
• 1 pound orange slice candy, halved
• 2 cups chopped mixed nuts
