• 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 2 eggs (organic)
• 1/2 cup vegetable shortening (Spectrum Brand)
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1 cup light brown sugar
• 1/2 cup black strap molasses
• 2 cups all-purpose flour (unbleached)
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
• 1 cup chopped walnuts
• 1 cup raisins (non-sulfur)
